Regina Bergen is an avid gardener—and can’t even count the number of times she’s said, “It’s not an autobiography!” in reference to the first book in the Small Town Dirt series, Dirty Hoe: A Gardening Romance. Amber Anthony is the pen name for Nancy Reynolds and Rusty Hough Bader. Years ago Theatre was Nancy's career and Rusty was a Dance and performance major at USF. We met through our love of British history.
Our genre drama short script Maxwell Older was an earlier Las Vegas Film Festival winner.
After developing several scripts of note, we directed our talents toward writing Paranormal Romance with an emphasis on magical realism in their ‘undead’. Developing our own mythology of day-walking undead bent on delivering the perfect bite to satisfy their mortal donors, we built a worldwide network of paranormal resorts. Vamps have to eat somewhere, right? Our adventure romance expanded from New Adult to Seasoned Romance.
As we have lived in a variety of cities we travel together when we can. Our first standalone was a Contemporary Romance based in Baltimore, Maryland with themes of redemption and renewal. Our newest series is Action Romance involving an ensemble of law enforcement professionals up and down the California coast culminating in Honolulu.
Our Alpha males are heroes for today. Our heroines are quick on their feet and clever as the devil.
When we aren’t collaborating long distance, we live in separate cities with their respective menageries.

James Blakey lives in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley where he writes full-time (mostly short genre fiction: Crime/Mystery, SciFi, Fantasy, Horror, Western and Romance.).
His "The Bicycle Thief" won the Short Mystery Fiction Society's 2019 Derringer Award for Best Flash Story.
